Equipment Needed: Waffle Iron
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Chickpea Flour
1/2 cup Water
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1.5 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Vanilla
Toppings: 1 cup of your favorite fruits and a drizzle of Maple Syrup. I love banana, apple, berries, and/or mango.
Instructions:
Preheat waffle iron to medium high.
Combine and stir together the dry ingredients.
Combine and stir together the wet ingredients.
Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix together well. You want a thick pourable consistency. If it seems to thick add a little more water.
All waffle irons very in sizes, so the amount you pour in should be enough to fill the center and spread out evenly.
Let cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Check at 4 minutes. Ready when browned. The outer edges may remain softer.
Remove by peeling up the edges until it releases.
Repeat with last bit of batter.
Top with favorite toppings and Enjoy!
Tips:
If you want, you can double this recipe. (do not double the baking soda)
You can also bake this recipe in the oven or a pan to make pancakes or sandwich buns.
